As well as being the patron saint of England and many other countries, St. George is also the patron saint of Soldiers, Scouts, Knights and ... Archers.
So to celebrate this years St. Georges Day, Team KLBAC had dragon shoot clout. This consisted of two dragon targets, laying flat on the ground at two different distances and each surrounded by a larger string perimeter. The task was to send arrows up and over into the squared perimeter with points being scored for hitting the the Dragon (30) , the surrounding white area (20) and inside the perimeter (10).
But here's the rub, there were also shields placed near the dragons and if hit meant minus 30 points.
The weather was great for mid April and it was a great way to celebrate the day.
Well done to Mark and Steve who scored the most points at the two distances.
Big thanks to JB for organising the event
